the people hating on reo cuz nagi got eliminated are stupid. yes, it’s okay to not like a character, obvi, but this is different. and by this i mean the situation. reo is not the only one to blame for nagi being eliminated yet y’all are treating him as if he isolated nagi from everyone. Nagi came to reo, asking for help, advice, to get excited. nagi was the one being reliant on reo. just like how reo was the one reliant on nagi before/during the second selection. Reo didn’t abandon nagi and the people saying he did (cuz yes, there are people saying rep abandoned nagi) clearly read the chapter with their eyes closed. Reo saw a chance to score and his instincts kicked in to score as a striker. he came to blue lock as a striker while also trying to please nagi with his passes. Some of y’all forget that Reo’s character development is him growing independent of nagi, something nagi couldn’t achieve, which is why he got eliminated. Reo grew independent, at least in some kind of way, while nagi grew more dependent and while he tried at the end to be independent and not rely on reo, change doesn’t happen overnight, especially if you lived your entire life doing that something that you wanna change, which is what lead to nagi passing to reo. THAT 8: the reason why nagi got eliminated. Some of y’all are acting like Reo and SCREAMING, CRYING, BEGGING Nagi to pass to him. seriously, have some reading comprehension. and if what y’all got out of this paragraph is that you’re not allowed to dislike a character, then that proves my point of y’all being illiterate. peace out

    trigger warning:

large yap paragraph yes i know. do not know how i turned a response into an essay lolll. read at your own discretion

hmmmm interesting perspective. quite close-minded if you ask me. i don’t necessarily like reo as a character as i dont find him interesting in the slightest, quite annoying even, but i do agree that people shouldn’t be hating on reo. however i do NOT agree with reo not being the reason for nagi being eliminated when you take the whole picture into account. as a whole, objectively, reo would lowk be to blame for nagi becoming the type of player that he is at the moment, which is the reason that he is currently locked off and hence why i say reo is at fault. not for any action he has currently made because yes, as you said, reo saw a chance to score and took it as a striker. there is absolutely nothing wrong with that, that’s the whole reason blue lock exists isn’t it? however you say people are acting like reo was ‘screaming, crying, and begging’ for nagi to pass him the ball when it’s totally unnecessary for reo to do that. why? because he doesn’t have to. it would have happened no matter if he did these things or not. that is all, as a player, nagi objectively knows.

before reo met nagi he was already playing football. he knows how to be a player independent of nagi because he was already playing BEFORE he met nagi. it was just a matter of time before he would be able to shake himself out of being nagi’s personal support system and return to being independent. the fact that he scored comfortably without hesitation, and then proceeded to try and explain himself to nagi.. the blueprints were already laid out for him, he js had forget about nagi temporarily (cause that’s all he can manage) to lock in and use them. nagi on the other hand was introduced into this world BY REO and was conditioned to rely on reo to score. that is ALLLLLLLL nagi knows. you could argue that nagi choosing to join isagi would class as nagi being independent of reo and i would agree, IF nagis intention was not to return back to reo. but of courseeee due to what i would describe as reo viewing nagi as his personal possession in conjunction with nagi’s conditioning, nagi could not become independent.

you say ‘reo didn’t abandon nagi’ which i once again agree with. he didn’t abandon nagi, what he did abandon was the playstyle that he forged WITH nagi which i have said multiple times already is ALLLL HE KNOWS. nagi passes to reo, reo passes to nagi so he can score. this playstyle forged between the two is so artificial and it makes me think of reo like the coach in the beginning who was suppressing isagi’s talent. isagi playing for that team was conditioned to follow the doctrine of football being a ‘sport played with 11 people’, a team sport. the only reason he was able to reverse this conditioning was because in blue lock he was introduced to the egoist ideology, and there was 1) no coach there in order to maintain his beliefs and 2) the association between football and it being a team sport had been broken as he now associates football with being the best individually thanks to ego. pretty simple psychological concept. also why i absolutely love isagi.

comparatively, reo is present in blue lock with nagi which makes him the reason why nagi maintained these habits of passing to him and therefore relying on him, meaning the association between his reliance on reo and his style of play cannot have easily been broken, which in a lot more unnecessary words is what you said (‘change doesn’t happen overnight’) but what i think you fail to realise is that reo is the REASON for the change not being able to happen as quickly as it should have. nagi was involuntarily moulded into the player he is now by reo, another reason why i dislike reo sm.

objectively in my opinion, reo is 100000% at fault. somewhere in his mind, he views nagi as his own personal possession. he found him, discovered his talent and now he gets to keep him. due to this, he unknowingly conditioned nagi to become reliant on him causing him to become the pitiful player he is when he plays with him. someone takes his little toy away and he gets all mad and throws a tantrum. gets the toy back and says some lame shit like ‘i proved i’m the one nagi needed’. disgustinggggg

also, it may seem like i’m presenting nagi as a character who is completely manipulated by others and is not at fault but realistically this isnt the case. even if i absolutely adore him i cannot be biased. nagi losing his ego after ‘defeating’ isagi was definitely a very influential reason in his recent decline also. (literally ts pmo sm tho cuz y tf did he class ts as a victory like he didn’t get dogged by isagi two seconds later when he tried to do it again ☠)

but all in all, yes reo is at fault lol. (●'◡'●)ノ

interesting perspective you have! i agree with a ton of your points, and yes, even that reo is at fault. although what i wanted to say in my paragraph(and obviously failed to lmao) is that reo isn’t the only one at fault and when i read my text over again, i realized i made it seem like nagi was the only one to blame, which was not the case i don’t agree with some of the things you said, but it could be viewed that way!

i’m so glad this didn’t come off as if i was hating like crazy LOLLL. totally agree that there are mannyyyy external factors which come in to play as to why nagi got eliminated but i do think that reo is definitely a significant and influential reason as to why. now my whole yap seems so unnecessary since that’s what you intended to say

ibr, a lot of my points definitely come from a place of obvious negative bias towards reo (cause he’s lame to me) which makes me sway more to putting more blame on reo so i can totally see why you may not agree with some of my takes as someone who likes him more lolll. which is totally fine ofc ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶

HAHHA YEAHHH i’m also glad my reply didn’t come off as rude!! i agree that reo is defo a big reason as to why nagi was eliminated and i do not at all agree that your yap sess was unnecessary because it gave me a new perspective to look at the situation so yk!!

i mean…at least he stopped when wooju said he’s scared..i guess?? i mean, dayum this chapter has me ripping my hair out from anxiety.. i hate that professor sm and the way it just felt like ml was playing victim when the victim is mc rn IDK ITS JUST SO WEIRD THE PLOT IS RUNNING AWAY I DONT GET IT. I don’t want mc to end up with either of them and just find a new ml, a BETTER, A DECENT, A GREEN FLAG ml but between the two, ml is defo the better option, even though both are ass
