does anyone know a manhwa(?) where the mc steps down from being the knight commander and hands the title over to the 2nd in command? it's very specific but it's a scene that i remember from it but i can't find the story somehow </3

if it helps, there is another event in the story where the knights go drinking but the mc doesn't join them bc she thinks she isn't welcome, but in fact she is!

i'm pretty sure the knight she gave the title of leader to is also one of the male love interests.

thank you in advance!!

ok so ive been reading yaoi for around a year and... i dont know... they just kind of feel stale? i cant really find the right words, but reading so much yaoi made me feel as if the stories were devoid of true emotion. the stories sometimes feel empty to me, and its extremely difficult to find stories that stick out in a good way.

idk tho, this is probably because of how much yaoi ive read, and how ive become used to overused cliches and little to no story-telling. i honestly prefer wholesome yaois with a great storyline, rather than the usual "sex after a confession".

sorry if i sound indifferent, but i just wanted to vent and see if anyone else feels this as well.

I feel the same. I'm at the point that I only stick around if the story is worth it (a little bit for the art too). But at the same time, I read a lot of yaoi to find the good ones too because I won't know it from reviews alone.

I've been reading yaoi closer to four years and while time to time yes, it does feel like the stories just repeat themselves and there is no real emotions between the characters, I can still sometimes get into even the most cliche stories and then ones in a while I come across a real gem

But I totally get what you are feeling
Sometimes it feels that yaoi authors just make stories where sex is the goal and not the relationship the characters build.. well I guess that is what yaoi actually is like "supposed to be" and its selling point or smthg, is the sex
    Eh I donno ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
It really is no surprise why ppl are so into BL manhwa lately

yeah tbh i feel as if manhwas go deeper in terms of romance and they present it better than most yaoi mangas nowadays :/

i sometimes believe that the only purpose an author makes a yaoi is for the fanservice?? i think they focus more on pleasing the fans rather than actually touching on the story

I feel like I’m in the same boat haha. I’ve noticed lately I’ve been “zoning out” during a lot of my reads. I usually read everything that gets releases, and as long as i liked the art I’d push through. But lately I’ve noticed if i completely forgot what i read, i just close the tab and don’t bother finishing it. There’s still a bunch I’m actively reading, and a bunch of authors I look forward to their releases, but I’m not reading as much as I used too.

dude, i do the exact same thing but instead of zoning out, i just skip through many pages to try to find anything good actually going on. most of the time, it results in the story ending without me finding any redeemable part to it.

I switch off between fan fiction and manga ... makes a nice break. (oh and books too)

I feel the same. I'm starting to skim manga more often than fully reading it because either I'm bored but still curious or I think I don't have enough time to read it. If the climax of the story is just the climax (heh) every single time, it does get boring. Nowadays, I want to read more Shounen Ai because it focuses more on the relationship rather than sex. I'm also starting to read some other romances as well or some really messed up Yaoi.

If anyone has any good recommendations, please introduce me to them ლ(´ڡ`ლ)
