It feels less like a mutual relationship and more like Karlyle is being pushed into everything out of fear of losing Ash. It doesn’t feel like Karlyle has grown out of his anxiety, and part of that is his personality, but part of a story is character growth and we haven’t really seen that. It’s the /side stories/ for god’s sake, and he still can’t speak his mind. The story is almost over and he’s still the same. I don’t feel any sexiness or love in this anymore, only Lyle’s anxiety and fear.
