This might sound absurd but what if the monster nial is actually the spirit of the yunifer from the novel, this is why it is so intelligent and has the blue eyes as well that glow? Its just an assumption but I’ve seen in other stories as well that if you take over a body the spirit from that body has to go somewhere
That actually make sense a lot... Especially how smart is was. So I think that would make a great plot?
