It seems like a lot of y’all don’t understand Yejun’s character. In my opinion, Yejun is the most realistically written character out of everyone in the story, because first of all, as stupid as it may look like, his decision to take up that oldie’s offer was to protect his son.
The ml never told him anything. He rather kept everything to himself, even if the mc gave so many chances for him to open up. "Mc is so stupid, why would he take the offer?" Maybe because he is powerless? Just like Ian’s mother, Yejun was powerless, and in his perspective, his son could suffer more than he already is. He overheard the doctor, and Ian talking about his son, but not fully. He didn’t ask Ian anything about it despite the curiosity, because he knows the ml won’t reveal anything. Then came that ugly ahh mf, and planted wrong things to manipulate him.
Noah has always had the weak mind, he is easily swayed, and manipulated, that is why Ian was able to get him to marry him (not yet, but he agreed to the proposal). If you heard something that lacks context, and another person comes to fill in the blanks, of course you will piece it up together, and in this case, was a wrong information, Noah is bound to misunderstand the situation. Grandpa told Noah that Ian’s purpose was to offer his child as his replacement in the experiment, and also told him that why would the ml decide to turn 180° personality on him that quick, when five years ago, he was tossed aside like a whore from the red district. Noah already had trauma, and severe trust issues to the ml, and let’s not forget about how many times he graped him using their bond, and pheromones.
Noah agreed to the operation in return, the grandpa will not touch his son. That is why that old man said that Noah, and Ian had the same brain problems, because both chose to protect the child (he wouldn’t understand that of course since he is a shitty father).
If you put yourself in Noah’s shoes—a broke, helpless omega between a powerful dominant alphas father, and son, he is nothing. He couldn’t even afford the child’s medicine, and had to settle for the cheap ones that was why his son was experiencing drawbacks. If y’all had a son, and your only blood family at that, you are bound to protect that child even if it hurts you. Mc stayed for his child, and even tossed aside his feelings, because all he wanted was for his son to be well. And the ml can help him with that, but what if that helps suddenly turned into a betrayal? Because in his perspective, the ml was to sacrifice his son as a replacement.
This story is annoying, yes, because they don’t know how to communicate, especially Ian. Noah tried to reach out a lot of times, but Ian didn’t even say anything to him, nor did he reveal his sacrifice as an experiment in return to leave alone their son. If only they communicated (that block head grapist), then this story would end up not so angsty, and full of bullshits, because honestly, we are just going in circles.
I honestly empathize, and heavily sympathize for Noah. He just want a happy family. He just want to protect his son, but he couldn’t even do so, because he is up with some big shots. I hate the father, and son, but yeah, Ian can be tolerated I guess. He is a grapist tho, so he remains negative in my opinion bar. I better see some chasing arc, because all he did was do whatever he wanted in this story, and that pisses me fucking off. The second male lead is much better, and I better not hear y’all coming at me for this. Yehyun is better than Ian, end of discussion. Fuck you if you don’t agree with me
