Why is everyone so triggered? I've never seen readers treat characters in any manhwa as they treat these. Classic backstory or not, the author never committed to making a fully original masterpiece that would leave us in awe? What's wrong with you people?
Honestly it just seems like a lot of ppl are finally noticing the shitty pattern that most bl authors use and are tired of them. Sure maybe this story specifically doesn’t deserve this hate, but it is apart if a larger issue. Also ppl are allowed to criticize whatever it us they’re reading? I don’t really think its abnormal to want to share your thoughts about a story
I've seen it, maybe you just haven't been in a lot of fandoms lmao, welcome to your first one Loveylove
I've been reading BL for over 10 years now, but honestly, I've never seen anyone take a manhwa so seriously, usually we just laugh about it and move on, but for some reason when it comes to Jinx, everyone is so serious..

I never said it was, I myself am sharing my own thoughts here, what I'm asking is why everyone takes things so seriously when it comes to this specific Manhwa? Let's be real, this whole 'villain with a tragic backstory' structure is super common, not just in BL, but in games, books, movies, even award winning dramas, it's called a redemptive arc or sympathetic villain trope which is what everyone has been asking for lately. So it ain't lazy writing but just one of the oldest and most effective storytelling tools. What I'm trying to say is that the outrage feels inconsistent, ppl don't come after stories that use this kind of character development, but when it comes to jinx? Suddenly the author has to pull a 100% original never seen before, hyper realistic masterpiece out of thin air.. like she's not able to use classic writing tools anymore? What's with the double standard? Also a lot lottt of BL have broken away from those older tropes and comes up with very unique stories, Jinx, from the get go was obv gonna fall into that classic style since it's from the same author that made BJ Alex, which is literally a genre classic atp so why act surprised? Yk? I hope you got my point ^^
