I do think there was a lot more that could’ve been done with the infected rather than the whole premise surrounding politics… but I really enjoy the scientific aspect of the MC while he’s still a badass who survived in the mist-adjacent regions. I think there’s a lot of credit that goes unsaid there for how subtly badass he is lol
