Hmmmm, not really lgbtq centered, but a movie I adore regardless is Tokyo Godfathers. One of the main chars is gay and trans (Hana). While it's not free of some underhanded gay jokes, it really captures her hardships well, and does her character justice. She feels like a real person to me. Not to mention the rest of the cast is interesting as well,......
