Some stories starts good and then after a few chaps it gets so fucking boring and the characters are so dull, that it makes you stop reading it for a bit. Then when you pick it back up, you have new characters added and they're just annoying and didn't even make the story flow interesting.

Good thing it isn't just me and you're so right!! Shonen and Shoujo mangas are like this and it's also so repetitive. I'm side eyeing some of those Isekai mangas.

Idk BL, GL and Fantasy manga/manhwa that I find are kinda off nowadays especially when it gets attention. It kinda repetitive to me.
Like:
MC gets transported/reincarnated to a world and she is a badass and the mc is the only one gets character development. I'm sick of it.
Or MC in a tower from loser to SSS class.
I want to see an SSS class to Loser to gaining back his true SSS op skills. And side characters or the loyal support gets a power up too and be of help to the MC. I also a little much prefer when MC gets off screen and lessened the focus on them and focuses on the struggle of the other characters. Not just the MC or the back story of the Antagonist.
Give other characters a story!
In BL and GL. I'm sick of reading Male Lead is red flag. Give me my overly obsess but not too obsess and still a green flag Male Lead with a cute not annoyingly super submissive but overly also obsess with the male lead bottom. Vise versa also applies.
In GL the contrary of the BL. Give me redflag, power towering, tall, and I even like a bit muscular women with good redemption arc. Paired With the most cute and sunshine but still has struggles and still has impacts girl sub!
I know I ask for lot but... If ever...

I think the BL you're looking for is "to be or not to be" where the ml is obsessed enough to dig up 10kmsqr looking for mc's body, but not obsessed enough to lock mc up when he wants to leave (and an mc who almost gets himself killed trying to reunite with ml several times)
