That’s because you’re not grasping the context of the story fully. You should ask yourself why Ines loves her brother so much despite everything that happened.
The point is You don’t defy the royal family. You obey or your whole Bloodline dies. Think about the fact that Ines ran with Emiliano knowing they would get chased and killed when found. She still did it and it happened because by running with him, she defied the royal family. The logic applies to her family as well. Because of her actions, they’re all at risk. Otherwise her brother could’ve just walked away that night when the crown prince made him listen to him r*aping Ines. Ines understands that and knows her brother loves her and that it destroyed him to do and say what he said. Their reality was atrocious and they all did the best that they could.
I loved this one, nice for a no-drama time. Although I was at edge, thinking, now a twist will happen. But I'm glad nothing happened. It was a very sweet read
Ughhhhh..... I couldn't let go of Lilly person. I feel like a huge misunderstanding is going to happen because this "Lilly" person will suddenly show up. Regardless of her being a good or bad person, that idiot frand Duke might get shocked for much longer than necessary and the pitiful Jasmine might suffer from uncertainty and whatnot.
