Going along with the revenge plot I feel like it was not the darkness king who killed his mother as they lighted up the whole village and imae lived at someplace else with his mother also they were about to leave the place so I have a hunch someone killed his mother so that he won't think of leaving the place , it could be that omurun (chief's son) or our green flag (he is pretty obsessive and I also feel he is hiding his true self)
