Getting revenge for Karl is her only reason to live even with all the changes to the story and her relationship with Kael, the foundation of her existence in this world is Revenge for Kael. I am loving this development because it's Kael's dynamic with Diana in the beginning. He was a character written as a part of Diana's development in the story and was ultimately discarded also as part of her and Helios' relationship development. When I'm off work and have a functional brain I'm going to do a whole breakdown on this because it's awesome writing and story development
