I can totally see how, given Shinpei probably already knows that Satoko is going to die, he now deals with death differently. Like it’s one thing to be preached to, it’s another experiencing the grief first hand. It acc makes so much sense.
If they just cut Dominic and made season 2 purely about Winter and Raymond going through a healthy dose of angst and hurt/comfort this would have been PEAK
