I do love me a good, well paced and well written psychological love story, EEEVEN if it’s extremely toxic …. but most of the time you can’t get that while trying to have those annoyingly long and unnecessary smut scenes thrown around like that
(ignoring the whole family, age gap thing for a sec here.)
This is leaves a bad taste in my mouth but not in a good way, anyways..
Up until this side story I actually enjoyed everything so can we PLEASE not end it on this note ;;;;;;;;;;;;;

Uhhhh basically brown hair guy kinda has a brief date (like friends would do) with Doha, they get drinks and he tries to confess but ultimately realises that Doha really likes Siwoon
He basically decides something like “well if you’re not gonna be with me then at least be ffr with your feelings and honest with each other” turns out he was in a call with Siwoon and that he listened Doha talk about his feelings
They make up and uhh i don’t remember tbh very short moments of angst tho at some point so beware of that ig???? FORGIVE ME HQHWHW it’s been a while ;;;

Guys, i know we’re all stressed and stuff abt how the story is progressing, yall have to realise the author does in fact write very complexed characters and situations.
I would love for all of you to not take it out on the author first and foremost, as I honestly really love that aspect of the story.
If you only see tropes here (which, one can write a good story while using tropes? what are yall on about? Following that logic every character that uses for example mommy/daddy issues sucks right? it’s absolutely not about how you write it, ofccccc..) that’s probably a you problem!! not being able to analyse situations without comparing them to other stuff, not being able to empathise with the characters or simply read deeper into a story,,,
Now! Jiho has fucked up real good atp but you guys have to put yourself in both of the characters situations. I’m pretty sure up until now he thought he understood Inwoo’s situation, so helping him the way he thought was the best way isn’t him being selfish AT ALL. He wanted to help him, truly.
The feeling of pity is very much a human thing to feel, but it’s also a multiple faceted thing to say: one thing is feeling it, one thing is saying it.
He cares about his bf a lot, it shows. Again, shitty way to show it if i’m being honest but i genuinely think he isn’t doing it with ANY malicious intentions.
So yes, he’s 100% wrong on HOW he did it, but since Inwoo was just letting himself go, not allowing himself to get any form of therapy whatsoever, Jiho felt like he had to do something, which is reasonable. Again, definitely not good what he did!!! But he would have been probably as much in the wrong if he just, let Inwoo slowly die without doing anything at all.
Tbh they both have clear issues with communication. please, someone ANYONE teach them how to do it

First time reading this author’s work and i’m very well invested ;;;;
The artstyle is very yummy, pacing and writing are also really good, I love how the characters feel human and it really shows from their actions they’re young and new to the whole thing, their feelings but also relating with someone else at all
Even more so, I’m reaaaally enjoying the fact that it’s not narrated like the author is spelling everything out for you, their narrative is slowly told by the little gesture or expressions of the characters and you have to be able to read/analyse them
You should read their other work, body complex
This one sucks tho the author only did the art for that I RECOMMEND HATE MATE it's only of my fave BLs!!!
I wanted to read that one !! Haven’t looked too much into it tho, seems interesting regardless :D
