> Simple - no depth/little plot, no lasting tension
> Light - easily solved, may have tense moments but not too griping, light hearted, can have serious themes but it's just on the surface level
> Medium - more drama but not dark, has some tense moments that hit, hit the feels, has some serious themes that are focused on but not necessarily the main theme
> Heavy - dark, intense, can be mentally draining, one two punching
> Feel Good
ROMANCE :
> Fluffy - just wholesome, all positive feel left and right
> Sub-love - out of nowhere love, it's there but not really shown much in scenes, or if ever it's not really romantic
> Slow burn - very slow to fruit, a lot of little bits before the main entree
> Serious - has some real/mature/drama type of love, similar feel to slow burn but has more love felt
> Romantic - similar to fluffy but is more love love than just positive feeling, showy mature love
> Erotic - focuses on smut, hot, sex, you feel things
> RNR - romance genre but the romance part isn't really giving
> Vanilla - always with consent, all clear
> Minty - may have some iffy cliche scenes like forced kisses but not necessarily as intense like rape
> Depraved - has some questionable moral scenes like rape or some mental terror
> Switch couple - FL/Uke has more "power" or upper hand, ML/Seme is the "softboi". Doesn't necessarily mean in terms of status but dynamics
