I feel like this had a lot of potential for an even greater emotional connection and heartbreak. On one side yeah I like the ending but it could have also explored the aspect of the MC child trauma from his childhood. By this I think the connection between the two could have been developed further as well as help him overcome it, and if this did happen when tengoko(I think his name is) kisses the new teacher the MC would have been more broken up about it and our(the audience’s) emotions would have been stronger. If that makes sense
