This has got some AMAZING world building. One stand-out is the tidbit about the amount of musical instruments they can play being intrinsically tied to whichever zone they live in... very clever. BL is so oversaturated with dumb stupid cisheteronormative bullshit that when stuff like this crop up it's like fucking ambrosia. The art is amazing, the story is amazing, and the main characters are... well. there's room for improvement. these bl authors do know they can make an arrogant protag without him being a sexual assaulter right?
that being said the stand-out character for me is Dr. Seok. He's the first almost explicitly autistic bl protagonist I've seen, and not only that, he's actually celebrated for his talents and not just used as a vehicle for whichever straight woman who wants to self-insert themselves as so they can get off for the night.
this is actually genuinely a story that so happens to be bl and not gay sex with some semblance of a plot. congrats. it finally happened.
