before anyone says. yes yes his bad childhood doesn’t disregard his past behavior. instead it adds nuance and the much needed backstory for him as it’s supposed to. etc etc
it makes so much sense why he had so much disdain for dan and lacks patience since he reminds him of what he tried so hard to forget. his former self. I saw a comment on twt that made the parallel of jaekyung feeling so awful about dan leaving at the end of season 1, because jae’s mom did that to him first
also was right. he came from nothing and became something. I hope the next chapter ends with the backstory from gramps and dan thinks about it on the way home from his shift prompting dan to give sick jae a visit. I wonder if jaekyung will react with anger towards dan once he’s back to normal if he asks questions about his past? they really are cut from the same cloth.
my brain is just full of thoughts and questions. we need to know how the jinx came to be and I think that’s something jaekyung explains himself to dan. is his mom still alive? is his dad still with the mafia ppl? does his dad know those loan sharks? or did he finally succumb to drugs? it’s been over 20 years since then surely his mom still alive right?
man, another 10 days of waiting we go.
