what a great read—i sobbed all morning trying to get through this story chapter by chapter and ended up having to skip a few just to make it more bearable for myself (especially the ones that indicated SA, violence, etc)

but that was a true privilege in and of itself because the reality is, people like lee geom don’t get the chance to skip through past their life.

in my opinion, the author was very careful in the way they wrote this story. when it came to actions, thoughts, the repeated words of “leave me alone” from geom all in hopes that he could save his beloved and let himself be the one who suffers alone. and the ML was exceptional. so careful. so kind and gentle and the complete opposite of what geom has suffered for years.

my stomach is still in knots from situations and conversations that occurred in this story. please, if you want to read it, go into it with a heavy heart and an open mind.
