People may hate Hyesung for what he did in the past. But if you put yourself in his shoes, I doubt anyone would be much different. Its not like he and Dojin fell in love and had a baby. Imagine thinking you were an alpha your whole life just life to go "jk you are an omega". Whom in my mangas dont get the best end of the shit stick. Then you get pregnant and the guy keeps pushing his desires and wishes on you. You who's life was turned upside! The emotional, mental, and physical trauma of that on top of having a baby!
Hyesung is a complex and slightly more realistic character who is put in a situation that makes us the readers uncomfortable. We can judge from our high horse but we would all react like Hyesung in his situation.
Hyesung may not have wanted Byul but he does love and adore him. I dont think he spoils Byul to make up for his past but because Hyesung truly loves with him with his whole heart.
If anything his mother abandonment likely spurs him to show his love for his kids more. He isnt over compensating due to guilt but bc of his own trauma.
