So are they blood-related? Yes AND no.

Yes - In the NOVEL.

No - because in the MANHWA, they can’t be. As the poster below said, it is officially illegal to show blood related incest. (Even p*rnhwa is afraid to depict this because there are very very strict laws on it) Scenes like the servants gossiping about Prince’s birth, rumors of the Queen’s pregnancy timeline etc did not happen in the novel - so this may indicate the author wants to change this part.

The basic summary is, Tae Rok the uncle and Nanyoung the nephew were as close as you could clearly see in the manhwa, up until Nanyoung visited Tae Rok and his wife (ch6 in the manhwa) After that, the wife warned Tae Rok that this sweet affection could dangerously grow to something more.

Tae Rok and his wife had a business transaction - the wife wanted to fulfill her duties in religion, which means to be free from constraints and disappear forever from public eye so she asked Tae Rok for help. In doing so, this could cause her family to be indebted to Tae Rok for political reasons. The novel had often said these two had similar personalities and pride, and they mutually disliked each other from their very first meeting. It was a sham of a marriage and didn’t even last long cos she disappeared quite early.

After the wife’s warning, Tae Rok began to completely distance himself from nephew. This went on for about 4-5 years, and of course nephew struggled with this as he grew older. There were times when he would sometimes see Tae Rok in his friend (just a case of him missing uncle a lot so he was projecting big time). Nephew began to ask friend about homosexuality and later kissed the friend because he wanted to know more about his feelings and what’s going on inside himself whenever he thinks about uncle.

So Tae Rok was out hunting, and he saw this. He absolutely lost reason and dragged nephew back to his place. So HERE, this kicks off the scene in the prologue with Tae Rok ***ing nephew and the comment about them being each other’s scandals, meaning both of them will fall into the pits of hell together as he forces them to cross a line that should never be crossed.

The king passed away and some people wanted to commit treason and overthrow the new king, Nanyoung’s older brother. So Taerok was also involved in this, and nephew overheard the treason talks.

So nephew begged Taerok to spare his brother, and Tae Rok calmly gave nephew an ultimatum : he would leave the king brother alone if nephew sleeps with him. Yeah. So I do see a bit of a psychological thing going on here : for nephew, Tae Rok is the ‘evil scheming uncle’, while for uncle, this was the reason provided for the nephew to acknowledge the hidden feelings and fall into sin. This is not just me saying btw, they even had this very conversation about this justification much later on. Nephew was crying away often and hating but not really hating the uncle everytime they ***, but Taerok was fine to play the bad guy and the only one have the confidence to act on it. Only by ‘forcing’ nephew could he have him.

Anyway later on, Tae Rok, after coming to terms with himself, had a proper conversation with nephew about their relationship and their history together. Basically, Tae Rok resolved to give up the uprising and sided with the king brother, because nephew was even more valuable to him than the uprising. Meaning they fucking finally talked, and this is where both of them dropped all pretense and really laid out their feelings out. Nephew was to properly respond to Tae Rok’s feelings once he came back from delegation trip.

But there was news that nephew was in a shipwreck and Tae Rok absolutely LOST IT. Like he went straight to king brother and demanded to be sent to find nephew - so here, the king brother already had an inkling of something not right between them. So he was HORRIFIED that his own brother and nephew were engaged in sin. Tae Rok was urgently requesting the king to send him, preparing to accept any punishment as long as he could find nephew. Now here, Tae Rok chose to submit to king NOT BECAUSE of fear, but it really was all because of nephew. In reality, there is no one who could overthrow Tae Rok as he could very easily
dethrone his other king nephew just like that. Tae Rok gave that up for nephew when he chose to side with king brother and outed all the traitors.

So Taerok went ahead and managed to find nephew, who was thought to be dead. Nephew said he will make a request to his king brother, that he wanted to be declared dead during this moment and surrender his title as grand prince, his entire existence. This is all so he could live contently with Tae Rok. Meaning the whole world will never acknowledge grand prince nephew who will have officially died in that shipwreck. Also meaning, both could finally live together in a happy ending like they wanted, ever if they thought themselves damned in the process. This is a very very summarized version of the story.

There is also a side story and an AU modern story (probably not as uncle and nephew this time) I don’t feel strongly enough for nephew to read on. /shrug I’ll try to answer any more spoiler questions if you have any but I think I covered mostly the major stuff.

Second kloff is not OG kloff. He's a brand new character that will love Aeroc unconditionally. Whoever wants to see Aeroc happy ending, just read the second timeline.

The 3rd timeline is OG Kloff with a new Aeroc. They still end up together even the one he wants to redeemed himself to isn't OG Aeroc who he brutally abused until death. I want him to suffer like hell... i'm currently on 3rd regression. He's still a scammer and piece of shit. I cannot see him in a good light.

Weekly plot explaining for those who care about it, and not here only for the hot guys lol

The father of Jitae wants to leave the company to Jitae, but he has a stepmom and a half brother (Jian), who wants to get the company. So Jian sends spies to Jitae's house regularly to find something that can bring Jitae down.
Then Mieum arrives to the house, because his father was kidnapped by Jian, so he needs to do what Jian says. But turns out Jitae and Mieum has known each other since they were young: Jian's mom (step mom) ordered Mieum's father to kidnap and kill Jitae when they were kids, but in the end Mieum saved him (which caused him a hit on his head and now he doesn't remember anything from that time, and he doesn't know who Jitae is), but Jitae instantly recognized Mieum, as soon as he saw him in like ch2 (in the beggining he was a bit sus of Mieum, but he soon realized that Mieum doesn't remember him, that's when he started to be nice to him)
Mieum loves his dad and would do anything for him, so Jitae knows that it would hurt Mieum to know the truth of the past. So now he is just trying to help Mieum find his dad and run away.
But in the meantime Mieum starts to remember the past, but for some reason he knew Jitae as Go Hajoon (He is the owner of the bar where Jitae went frequently to get prostitues, like the one in ch one. But since he met Mieum again he didn't go there and his stepmom/brother started to get suspicious that Jitae has a regular partner. So in ch 24 he went to the bar again) . We don't know yet why Jitae wore Hajoon's nametag. I guess Hajoon gave it to him, so the kidnapper won't know who to take, but we don't know yet. Looks like Hajoon was worried about Jitae.
We also have secretary Jin, who is the secretary of the stepmom and Jian, but looks like he secretly works for Jitae and helps him find Mieum's father. We don't know yet why he works for him, but they mentioned that he has been waiting for this moment for a long time, so maybe he has some hate towards the stepmom.
Basically that's the story now, let me know if you have some questions or details that you don't understand.

Edit: I just realized there is a mistake in it, the evil stepmom is the aunt of Jitae (based on around ch 14), and the fight is between her and Jitae to decide who will inherit the company. This lady is tge stepmom of Jian, as Jian was born from a mistress.
So all in all she is an evil stepmom lol

I read the novel and each chapter was very long. It's 18 chapters including sides but Im not sure if that's all the chapters. It was a good slowburn novel. Yunseong lines were so loving and beautiful.

I dont want to tell the entire story how they know this and that but they got together without Hakyung telling Yunseong the truth. It was only when YS's brother took Hakyung that YS said that his memories came back. Turn out YS's memories came back to him little by little the time they started cohabiting and a big chunk of his memories was when they went back to the villa to pack and clean. It was also revealed later that YS already know that HK is a man by the time they went on a date and I think the reason why on the manwha the focus was on HK's body was bec YS said during that time he was already curious of what HK's body looks like(meaning he has no probs HK is a man and ifykwim). They are having good times together and when HK is abt to tell YS his name and etc, YS got a call that grandpa's condition was very serious and when they are going to the hosp they had an accident. HK woke up first and YS injuries were very serious. He was handed money and asked obvi to disappear and was not allowed to see YS even for last time. YS woke up eventually and the question he asked was i think "is the MAN with me in the car okay?" So the fam was shocked that even if YS know HK is a man they already see him having feelings for HK and he protected him during the accident risking his life. They wanted HK out for good so sis in law came up with an idea to tell YS that HK died in the accident. He didnt believe this so he conducted his own investigation but looks like being fabricated by the fam. Btw, he doesnt have mem loss at this time, his 2nd accident caused this when he went back to the villa against doc's orders. There was also a struggle part in the fam but in the end they accepted them and Geonwoo even became YS's dad's favorite. HK also ended up working for Taewoon grp under YS's dad. I reco you read this. Because even if it is romance it also is a good family story and HK is very sympathetic towards YS's family. YS is also very kind specially towards HK. I smiled alot and cried specially when YS is expressing his love his words were soo beautiful
