We started this with jk and kd being who they are, with their characteristic shaped by their past: Jk believed in his ritual before matches to get rid of jinx (again, from his childhood being abandoned) which made him 'bad'. Dan was being 'good' to other despite being poor. They started from the premise jk need s.o. to sleep with and kd need money/later on developed feeling for jk.
From jk pov, no love included in the deal. From kd, love was sth he developed after making the no love zone deal. If I make a deal with s.o. let say not break this, if other person breaks the rule I'd say bye to them for good.
And yes, jk had bad habit in bed, led to mistreatment. But he did save jk, paid off debt. His problem is temperament controll, kd on the other hand being soft and got affected by that.
Past controlls present, till turning point comes to make one relize them being wrong. Jk did reflect, kd being exhausted/depressed/sleepwalking and need help. Jk offered that and continue to reflect after each interaction modify his behaviour since being harsh resulted in bad result from kd. Compare to jk from before who didnt care to take some cognitive process, this jk is improving. Changes takes time, esp. those continue for so long.
Thing is not totally good nor bad. Just different perspective ╮(￣▽￣)╭
