This started out very interesting with a found family and a mysterious tribe who dies if no one remembers them. It even had an enemy fake-out as the Boss enemy was unexpected. Unfortunately, when the officials took over, I started to see missing panels and the plot seemed to shift focus and speed up toward a bad ending leaving many holes in the story.
I agree with others who said to stop reading at chapters 85 or 90. Really don't read any further if you can make it that far despite the missing panels, dialogue, information, and events alluded to but never shown. (Issac)
Lastly, this story didn't require a ML, especially not an ML who was essentially the FLs father-figure. FL has two mothers so it's all right for her to have two fathers, too. I wish authors would stop doing that; it's gross and icky!!
This story had a lot of interesting elements but unfortunately the author couldn't pull them together to make a cohesive storyline. The FL is neither strong nor weak -- she is just there as a catalyst. The circumstances surrounding the MLs were way more interesting, but, unfortunately, they too suffered from plot holes and poorly fleshed out motivations.
Issues:
-- FL was saved by Demios from the Human side of the world. What happened there??
-- So in those 5 years FL never once tried to be intimate with her husband. Not even trying with willpower to hold his hand??
-- ML1 was the child between the former emperor and his lover, so was the Empress really his mate?? Or did he just carry her name on his body??
-- Former emperor knew his son was unfit for ruling from a young age, why not make is nephew CP?? Why wait??
-- Annihilate a whole beastkin fam over black magic just because you're afraid of what MIGHT happen instead of what happened??
-- Antagonist what was your true motivation?? Revenge for family's death?? Why the whole beastkin world instead of just the imperial family??
-- FL never learned anything else about her abilities as saint/star of the empire??
-- All the black magic being tossed around and Sea Priest doesn't even mention it or do anything??
I have other issues, but I don't feel like typing anymore. LOL!! Lastly, I feel sorry for Demios ending. Was he truly the villain?? I don't think he was, yes he did villainous things, but I can't see him as a true villain more like a victim.
