I just started reading this, but parts of this plot reminds me heavily of the "Happy Ending for the Time-Limited Villainess" story. Red-haired villainess in love with a White/Silver-haired Duke, makes a deal/trade with their life, coughing up blood, ends up in a contractual marriage for a limited time.
I'm not saying either author plagiarized the other, but the usage of certain elements, shows they were definitely inspired by one another. ◔ ⌣ ◔
This started out so promising, but soon began to go downhill. It's vastly different from what I thought the plot was going to be like. The Emperor ignores his child for 9 years, gets angry when she tries to lead the country when is presumed dead in battle, tries to lock her up again, denounces her existence to her face, but suddenly cares enough about her to take a magic bullet for her and then has the nerve to plead with her not to abandon him!! WTH?? And after all this, she still wants to stay in the palace?? Also, no one questions how knew the Dark Magic user of the forest?? Nobody??
9 Years Later -- Nothing is resolved!! They aren't close; no parent to child relationship. They don't have any sort of connection. They eat together a few times and that's it. No development; and now it's onto the next phase of her life in a human body. Which I might point out again -- nobody questioned her about that conversation with the Dark Lord all those years ago. Instead of skipping over those 9 years, I wish their had been some progress on their relationship, which is why I started reading this story in the first place to see some Father-Daughter dynamics in play. Disappointed.
So, now that she's in a human body are wishes going unfulfilled?? ⚆_⚆
