Yknow when FL started her next life and sort of got on better terms with cesare, I actually was chill and thought AT MOST they can be friends. (Though it’s clear FL’s trauma will never go away when facing him). But with how cesare continues to reveal himself to be the same terrible person with terrible intentions, that hope is long gone. He literally proved her words: “you only care about your own feelings.” If he were to TRULY change, he would let her go and respect her feelings, settling to at least stand by her side as a friend. But he can’t stand not having her.
It doesn’t help, knowing the nasty ahh spoiler he does later.
