I underestimated how much I cried the previous time I read this and holy shit my eyes are so puffy and swollen right now after reading...

I will recommend a movie 'Your Name Engraved Herein' if you like a similar genre (and suffering). It's available on Netflix! It takes place in 1980s Taiwan setting where society still isn't as lgbt friendly. And oh no the pining T.T

If you are free and ready to suffer, You can listen to this Chinese song called 'your name engraved herein'. There's this part of the song:

"I've decided to love, only one for the rest of my life

If I have another chance, I will surely love again ."

Which I feel is related to the emotions portrayed here. The song is also the official theme song for a Netflix movie of the same name. It's a very good movie that I will recommend all LGBTQ+ people/allies to watch and the story was also inspired by the director's own experience during his youth.
