So i question.. doesn't Seth remember how Horus already did rape him just like Osiris did... Pretty much at the very start of the manhwa..? And if i remember correctly there was more than that one time..
Soooo why is he reacting to "he's not that different from Osiris" words like that-
he must have already had his own suspicions.. or did he forget, got blinded by how silly Horus behaved.. ?

This is the exact same question I asked earlier. Or at least similar...but no one responded
I'm all caught up now with the story and it seems like that wasn't even a scene that happened.
Why is no one mentioning it?
Are readers actually just ignoring it because they're supposed to be the main characters?

Okay so got a reply earlier from my comment
That chapter, the "more than one time" which would be the second time, was a bonus scene, fan service. And idk why it's even called fan service because who wants to see one main character raping the other???
But also the first time/only canon time Horus was under the influence of the mirror, hence why it didn't happen again. And Seth doesn't even know about the mirror's powers/abilities so after spending all this time with Horus it's only natural he sees Horus as someone who takes after Isis, his mother and not Osiris.

Hi ill reply to this. Horus didn rape seth willingly. Pls dont forget seth was there first to rape him after being instigated by sekhmet who obviously took advantage of his low mental state to poison his mind. All part of her grand plans [we dont know what it is she wants but she's plotting heavily against osiris] so why horus did it was because of the mirrors influence. Pls lemme know if y want me to explain u what and why the mirror exists and what its powers are. Anyway. Horus wouldnt have done it if he wasnt bewitched. He regretted it n he's a victim here and he never does it ever again the more than one time u refer is a bonus chapter kinda like what if au. Not part of main story. Us readers like to ignore it since most of us dont enjoy rape.

Hii, thanks for the reply! And yes, i would like to get a little memory refresh about that mirror and its powers, as I started reading this manhwa years ago and did let it marinate for quite a few periods of time
乁[ᓀ˵▾˵ᓂ]ㄏ
And also.. is the mirror taking action again suddenly in the last chapter..? Was Horus always carrying it with him, knowing what it is?

Dont be sorry im happy to clear any doubts u have! So i too started reading this back in 2019 but it was recently that my interest was fully piqued and I re read it so I can answer your doubts hopefully. Ahem the mirror belongs to hathor goddess of love, primordial god of creation aka sun god Ra. The mirror has powers that if u look into it n happen to see a reflection you'll fall in love with the person whose reflection u see but if there is someone u already love or care about. Then the mirror will rip you into 2 n one of u that loves other person will be locked into the mirror's infinite endless void while outside you whos like rebooted restarted version of og u, will fall in love with reflected person. Hathor gifted this mirror to horus n was plotting to use it to make horus fall in love with her but before she could use it seth came and started bullying her and accidentally his face was reflected in mirror when horus looked at it. But yk horus alrdy loves seth so even tho he fell into mirror void he could leave easily. Oh mirror's second power is if the person u see is same as the person u love then u wont be trapped but it'll bewitch your mind n heighten your carnal desires/ deepest wants and make u act on it. So horus wasnt being himself and was befuddled by mirror's magic to rape seth. Also horus met nephyths inside the mirror and guess why she is in there... osiris fuckass bitvh wanted to use the mirror to make seth fall for him but nephyths took it n while probing it accidently became the one who saw osiris n got split into two. This is why the part that loved seth got trapped inside while the outside nephyths went to cheat on seth with osiris who took advantage of situation to make her give him the ability to bring life (hes tried but failed as only female goddesses can bring life) he stole seths seed aka made him infertile n had a kid with nephyths which is anubis who he conceived only so that he could use anubis body as a vessel for the life he wanted to create with seth aka babytrap seth to bind him to osirs as he believed this would make seth his finally cuz seth is so loyal to his wife n kid so he could also make him his by doing this shit.
Seth didnt know abt mirrors powers or the fact that nephyths was inside it. Thats the big secret horus has been carrying all this time and trust me... * SPOILER ALERT* upcoming chapters things gonna happen... he's gonna find it.... and erm stuff is gonna get ugly.. when he does...a huge misunderstandjng...
Horus wasnt carrying the mirror with him. It spawned there in bathroom by itself via the flower that the servant goddess of hathor hid in horus clothes without him knowing. Kinda like a tracker. She has been monitoring horuseth for a while now.
Oh theres another mirror which is identical and it belongs to sekhmet. And if u know actual myth legend, sekhmet n hathor are same entity Aka hathor js goddess of love while sekhmet is the alternative ego which is personification of all the ugly feelings anger resentment hatred chaos destruction that hathor hides. Idk if this ennead maintained that key factor but if they did then thats a huge plot buildup for future chapters... esp related to osiris beef against Ra and sekhmet

Yeahhh. CnC kink is a legit kink esp when both parties establish consent n do it in plays but some of the ennead fans on twt seriously are into heavy rape dynamics which is why that bonus chapter doesnt surprise me for ive seen worse like furballx Seth, osirisxseth, anubis x seth.. most popular is osiris x seth

Seth knows a bit but previously let it go because Sekhmet admitted to him she had been the one who caused the whole thing: how her vendetta for Seth cutting off her arm had made her want revenge on Seth by using Horus, so she suggested to Seth that he rape Horus, knowing full well the mirror would react and brainwash Horus to turn the tables on him.

By the way: the reason Seth readily believes it once Sekhmet "confessed" it all to him (which happened in chapter 33) is because it was actually Seth's THIRD time being screwed over by Sekhmet: 1st time was when Sekhmet told him Anubis was Osiris' son, 2nd time (according to Seth's words in chapter 28) was when Sekhmet fooled Seth into indirectly allowing Horus to be born, by throwing the dead Osiris' body in the Nile River, since it was this that made it possible for the fugitive Isis to quickly find all the parts of Osiris' corpse (since the Duat river and the Nile river are obviously connected) and for Isis to temporarily revive Osiris, long enough for the two of them to conceive Horus.

Hii jayy! What theories do u think might be the reason behind sekhmet being involved in all of this since the beginning. Like why do u think she's against Osiris (keeping aside her usual liking of anarchy n chaos) like we know that she's not doing all this just for fun right. Some ppl say it may be cuz of their past life actions esp osiris or HTE as theres hints that HTE stole something [probably wadjet ] from Hathor- ra's originally prepared rightful successor. I saw a theory that the orphan bald kid who pops randomly could be nefertem sekhmets kid n Osiris might have done smth to him in past while there's also this new god or character that mojito spoke of back in 2017 who would devour the sun at end of s2.

I’m sorry, but is this the first time you’ve seen a BL where one of the male leads rapes the other? I mean it’s so common now that people don’t even think twice about it anymore. It’s always overlooked and forgotten by the male leads and the readers. And the leads always end up together anyways, so there’s no point questioning anything about how wrong it is, and how they just move on like nothing happened. It’s just something that is brushed-off as “no big deal” now. And not to say that this isn’t a horrible thing, and that authors need to do better, but that’s just the way it’s been for a while. That’s sadly just the case now.
Additionally, for this particular story. I think it makes a little more sense. I mean all the gods and goddesses are sleeping with each other (incest, as they’re all related), fighting, killing, slavery, etc. Why wouldn’t rape also be on that list of horrible things that they do? It’s part of the drama and the immoral things they do. I mean they all have something majorly wrong with them mentally. They all act at least a little crazy if not a whole ton. It’s all apart of the plot.

Can't say much about the other stuff, but as for why I think Sekhmet's against Osiris, it's no sweat to answer that: Sekhmet works for Ra and I bet she is against Osiris for the same reason Ra is against Osiris; and that is because Osiris secretly ruined her once beautiful and fertile Egypt, by gradually turning it into a desert, for completely selfish reasons, and moreover, he continues to one-sidedly chase Seth not only at the expense of never truly fullfilling his role as a god, but even by outright remorselessly sacrificing the humans of Egypt (their lives, their livelihood) while chasing Seth, not realizing that has only made Seth turn away from him even more because, deep down, the one thing Seth had ever wanted is to become truly great as a god (not just by fulfilling his role, but by truly making a difference in humans' lives).

But if I really had to think of who the bald kid is, one thought that occured to me is that ke could be Amun, because his myht says he fuses with Ra, and that he's "silent" (like the bald kiss is) and provides kindness to the poor and needy (which reminds me of how the bald kid would always bring Seth and co. food when they needed it)

Well I can imagine I know what you're referring to.
What's really common is the "dub-con" (if I'm using that term correctly) Where in reality/non-fiction the male "rapes" the love interest or vice versa but the other party gives "consent" because it feels good. Because for example, the second someone says stop in sex and you don't stop, it's considered rape. But in BL the love interests are written to say stop and not actually mean it because they "enjoy" the sex.
So it's not that this is foreign general behaviour. It's just expressed wayyy differently in BLs where it doesn't seem like rape because both parties enjoyed it despite one not wanting it at first.
Unlike with this story where you can tell...although is still fiction, it reflects our current reality wayyyy the similarly hence when Osiris raped Seth it was clear that at no point in time Seth wanted that sex. It wasn't the same dub-con as in common BLs where it's the love interests "pretending" not to like it with a tsundere personality to cover up what it really would be irl but actually enjoys it. It was Seth hating every second of it and be traumatized due to it

I somewhat understand what you’re saying and agree with it to a certain point. If someone says “no” or “stop”during sex, even if they are enjoying it or it gives them pleasure, that is still rape. As they didn’t give consent and they can remove consent at any time, even if they’ve done so in the past. But, I understand what you’re trying to say. It is definitely expressed differently in BL. In the way, as you said, that they change their minds later on (which would be giving consent). But, they have to physically say that. It usually just starts off as assault, which to be honest is still horrible.

Mangago deleted my comment wtf
Ahem, what i meant is western countries are mostly low context cultures aka a Dutch or a German person who hates u wouldnt hesitate to say it to your face. Low context culture society are direct straight forward n honest with expressing opinions/ sentiments whereas a lot of Asian countries like China kor jap ind are extremely high context cultures aka heavy on the beat around bush mannerism. Emphasis on the "unspoken" is much more heavier prevalent and preferred way of interaction than speaking directly which is seen abrash bold n impolite. This is kinda flawed because thats how u get a society with severe issues like victim blaming culture n ppl who cant address wrong done to them. Anyway thats an entire whole discourse in itself. But yeah.. You'll find these in their literature, norms that shape their upbringing and phrases quotes they have non-verbal cues like body language, tone of voice, and shared understanding to convey meaning, rather than explicit verbal statements is naturally seen in the media they make as well. This grounds popularly demanded character sketches like "tsundere who'd be typically grouchy n stingy with words but gets betrayed by body actions and behavior facial expressions" but issue is there's a lot of works that fetishise grape* and arbitrarily insert SA anywhere for the plot and differentiating stories where character is not being Sa'ed but is really just a tsundere guy is difficult because of the way of writing and drawing "started off grape ended up feeling good" vs "really likes it but cant be honest but body betrays words". Ive seen irl example where a foreigner who had one night stand experiences shared how he was puzzled by Japanese women who'd mutter no and "stop" bashfully in bed and he'd actually stop cuz well yk consent and then they'd be like ???why did u stop ??. A lot of that aspect seeps in the works they produce as well I believe which is why we see shous being shy awkward n how taking lead n being vocal during seggs is a special unique event that gets Extra bonus chapter.
Some works are written really well tho and are underrated masterpieces where you'll see them tackle these things properly and not do a sloppy fetish fanservice job. As for ennead mojito captured seths trauma properly with the grape PTSD he keeps suffering thru out the story and how he mentally dangerously unstable at the verge of a total crashout n how deeplyrooted his insecurities fears embarrassment and pain are because of what happened that day with osiris . The time with horus was an accident and it wasnt random. Its actually there in real Egyptian mythology too and seth was the one who came with the intention of doing it to horus but due to mirrors magic horus did it to him against his free will. He would willingly never do it with Seth non con. He hates hurting seth the most and loves respects and cares abt him deeply. So horus is also victim here as he did it without his consent. The only time I felt grape was unnecessarily added was with foreign god furball but seth was dru&&&gd with aphrodisiac and well furball is zeus.... knowing infamous zeus.. him not doing anything wouldv been out of character i suppose.. still I very much dislike/hat that chapter. I hope I could explain pls dont take it differently english isn my 1st language and as a victim myself I never ever condone grape ( ̄∇ ̄")

Something I forgot to add in my previous answer: I don't consider Nefertem much because he's mentioned by Osiris in chapter 47, and Osiris doesn't make it a secret that he considers Nefertem as pathetically weak, when he tells Seth right after raping him that "without Osiris' help in expanding the desert, Seth's power as 'a mere god of sand' would have remained so weak that, even Nefertem would've been stronger than Seth (in that case)".
This is something I'm skeptical Osiris would say out loud (or at leas,t not so blatantly and openly as if publicizing it) if he'd really done anything to him...since he knows Sekhmet is ALWAYS around somewhere, listening in on them (Sekhmet says the only reason Osiris didn't detect her coming at him that one time, when she came to put Osiris to sleep in order "rescue" Seth when Seth was being raped him, was because Osiris was "too distracted with what he was doing" to Seth, at the time). ...While I know Osiris has started getting "dumber than usual" whenever arguing with Seth ever since Seth saw through his lies, I still doubt that if if Osiris was the cause of Nefertem's weakness, he'd have been so dumb as to provoke Sekhmet by calling her son "weak", right after she'd just managed to close on him enough to knock him out, not even a second before, when he told said that.

I think that storywise the time Seth slept with Zeus a bit necesary, though (even though I absolutely HATED it), because it was supposed to show the "proggression" from "Seth, the straight dude who was a father and a husband", to "Seth, the 'open-minded' dude who one day decided he might as well conquer his trauma, and say'f-- you' to Osiris, by trying out sex with other guys"... I think that scene of Seth/Zeus was as close as the author felt they could give us, to show us a Seth that could seem open to one day accept Horus' romantic pursuit by appearing to discard his own old 'prejudices' (at least, at face-value) and somewhat "consensually agree" (or, like I would say, "half-heartedly/grudgingly agree") to sleep with a guy "just for the heck of it", mostly because he was tired of refusing over and over (to me it looked more like Zeus wore him down until Seth gave in, out of tiredness).

What does that even mean. It’s the law. So yes, depending on the country what is trialed as “rape” could be different. But, generally, “rape” is when someone doesn’t give consent or cannot give consent (ie. intoxicated, not of legal age, etc). Basically forced to participate. Not sure how that is any different depending on the country as it’s a basic right. The right to say no.

No wait pls read my other comment. I explained it there cuz mangago cut off my og comment. Im not mislabelling what can be counted as rape n what not. Rape is rape everywhere regardless of what country laws feel. I explained my take on the culture of tsundere usage in media n how its different culturally

Ah could be a likely possibility. I didn't see that chaper this way so for me it was triggering n I hated every panel of it hahaha but besides that plot isnt out of place here. Regarding nefertem or that kid now that u mention these bits I think its a farfetched theory. . Hmmmm oh well I just thought that would explain why that orphan kid was also clean n well kept looking like a demigod child. He could really be amun.. I looked up n I can envision that happening. The chapter had sun rise whenever that kid appeared n mojito said towards end of s2 sun will be devoured by a new entity. Maybe its this kid?

Yeah, I saw that too. I don’t believe it’s a cultural thing. People do that all around the world, but you still have to get consent and if they say stop you still have to stop even if they don’t mean it. Because if you keep going when they do mean it, that’s when it’s a problem. So how are you supposed to know when they’re saying stop just to act shy or when they’re saying stop to literally stop. People who do act shy like that are still going to have times when they say stop because they want you to stop not because they’re being shy. And it also depends on the person. I think this is more of a personality thing than a cultural thing. Some people just like to act shy. Or they enjoy doing that as a kink, etc. And the fact that consent is not something that a lot of people learn whether it’s in school or from their parents, etc. means it’s something that’s really not educated on. So, a lot of people like you think even if somebody says stop, you don’t have to stop. The correct way to go about this situation if it happens to you is to stop no matter what because you cannot mind read. Consent needs to be verbal. It’s never just one thing ie. body language, clothes, etc. That’s why it’s important to get explicit permission no matter what and to take in context clues.

A phrase I learned: "if this is -indeed- a cultural thing, then it's a cultural *problem*...". As in, that one of the things I've learned is that it's much healthier to be able to reckon that cultures (YES, even cultures) can indeed have both positive and negative elements (like, how 'footbinding' was a "cultural" thing... but not many would say it was a 'positive' one. Let alone, 'human sacrifice').

Not sure why you commented this as I said this has more to do with the persons personality than culture. But, not to say culture doesn’t have any influence. It’s definitely a more common occurrence in Asian countries (specifically bc of the “act cute” or aegyo behavior trend). But, that same act of shyness accrues also because of someone’s true personality, not them trying to act a certain way. So, this isn’t just a culture thing.
IM CRYING UNCONTROLLABLY
