Unpopular opinion but I actually liked the story. It's great in a fucked up mental torture way. Also the novel is beautifully written.
They're both got more than a few screws loose but strangely, they're better and happier people when they're with each other. Seems to me like they're a couple who would mellow out as they grow old together. (⌒▽⌒)
(i sure am glad i waited until it's all finished before i read it in one go though haha)
