You can be given me 4 chapters of his backstory or 20 chapters. Nothing can change my mind. The trauma Ceasar has given to her across not one but two lifetimes will not disappear, even if anybody tries to appeal through his struggles. Nothing justifies the physical and sexual abuse he has inflicted upon her. You do not kiss forcibly, beat somebody, or tie them , even if same has happened to you.
And this latest chapter showed that he wasn't even a child when he starting doing this to her. He was a full grown adult ,I guess. So no , it's not childhood trauma , it's just his obsession for her.
He is the worst bastard and nothing's changing. That's it
Fr, it disgusts me just by seeing him next to her!!! Ya sure he also had a terrible childhood but that doesn't excuse crap for what he's done!!!! The only good thing that have been coming out of these chapters is that I get to see my two little babies Ruby and Enzo as kids
Huh? It is not there for you to change your mind about him. People can use critical thinking. They can mourn the child while holding the adult accountable. His version of both I mean. He was also abused brutally, mentally and physically. He also had to survive. He build his world around that.
I will and does not excuse what he has done.
It is however human. People are not black and white. We all make choices that are shaped and in turn shape our life. And as humans do, we deal with trauma differently, some heal from it, some don't and some become it.
So what do you want. No backstory? He's just born evil? If you want a bland story there are so many to read with 2 dimensional characters. Giving a bad character a backstory is actually good storytelling. I'm assuming you're under 19 years old but it's actually not "forcing you to sympathize" it's just an average backstory.
Please stop seeing the world in black and white. It'll only make you a better person in the long run !
I understand that his backstory is annoying mostly when you dislike seeing the character in general (its the same for me) but we cant go past his backstory i fear since hes a major character in this story so for more closure i guess but yeah at least we saw a glimpse of ruby when she was a bit younger, at least something to look forward to
I recently read two light hearted mangas with reincarnated male leads in nobility -
1. The Knight Commander's Son is Infatuated by the Villainess
2. Reincarnated as a Villainess's Brother".
Most of the male centered reincarnated mangas are too action or violence oriented with settings such as in murim, magic world, dungeons, etc.
If anyone knows more mangas like the one I named with reincarnation and light-hearted , Kindly suggest me some.

Yes. They are shoujo- The typical ones, where the mc reincarnates in a game and tries to change the villainess' fate.
The only thing is that the mc is a male ..

I can never accept Asiel as the ml. He may have suffered a lot.. but it wasn't any more than the fl. He is too annoying to watch, if anything... I wish she could have have started with someone new in the current life. Him and his trauma can just fuck off.
Plus even if he's not blood related, they are still siblings in a way. Sorry but this is too wierd. This has sucha Good scope, but the romance is too forced upon. As if the fl can't do anything without romance.
I agree with you that he isn't the ideal candidate, and someone new would be best. But they aren't siblings in any way shape or form.
Yeahhh hes too pathetic to be the ml i hated that kiss sm like even if ur not blood related you still watched her grow up as a child. Hes been weird ever since she was a child icl. I feel like theyre forcing the romance with him ╥﹏╥
Yeah I agree very much... they did make clear at first the one adopted usually ended up marrying in... but I still think is weird af... cuz it basically makes it either fauxcest (the whole step/adopted sibling/parent incest where there's no blood ties to make acceptable) or mc being a child-bride (brought into the family as a kid to marry in as soon as possible) and neither are good tbh...
I wish that Euros family had a son locked in somewhere for her to save and marry instead... or the Crown princess had a son... heck even Hesaros would make a better ml imo...
