This has always been a heavy-themed bl, so I'm really surprised that people are not liking the plot. Their relationship from Yeonjo's side initially bloomed from hatred, so he will always face dilemma in accepting any feelings related to love for Heeryang. I think it's safe to assume that their ending will always be tragic unless Yeonjo starts to understand, accept, and forgive Heeryang's killings of his family.
EDITED: I didn't mean Yeonjo should forgive Heeryang. I'm just saying from Yeonjo's side, if they are to have a genuine relationship, it would be a big step for him to forgive Heeryang's actions that I personally think he wouldn't.
