Does it annoy anyone else when they hype characters up to be super-intelligent master strategists, and then they go do some dumb shit and be surprised it backfires?! What does she have, selective amnesia? She KNEW he was cruel/crazy when he betrayed and executed her in her first life, so why is does she never have contingency plans/ safeguards in place?
