I wouldnt say partner tho she and her maid arent really together. I mean until rn she didnt even know she liked her romantically not to mention she thinks the maid ran away cause she confessed

I’m pretty positive that they were together, considering an emotional bond that went beyond that of a master x servant relationship was established between the two. Prior to the “confession” on Lily’s part, she claimed that there was no need to hold secrets between the two (despite her completely holding a secret against Anna anyways) which further shows that they did have a connection of sorts. If she really loved Anna, she wouldn’t have gone over to the Duchess the only second she didn’t hear from her. I don’t think she wants “love”, I think she just wants the attention of someone tbh.

I do agree that they definitely loved each other and had an emotional bond but they definitely were not in a romantic relationship cause it's even shown that lily only started seeing her maid in a sexual manner after the duchess pointed it out, not to mention from Lily's pov she confessed she liked her in a romantic manner and not in a platonic one just for her to run away. Additionally lily was literally sold to the duchess to be like a bed companion it's noit exactly betrayal for her to sleep w the duchess. Also her belief is that she just got rejected by the only person she had so it's obvious that she's in a vulnerable emotional state which the duchess definitely took advantage of imo
