I think it's a good concept. It's pretty obvious that it wouldn't she can't easily escape from her room since she's colorless so she can't defend her as she's weak. Same goes with the prince, i forgot if he's also colorless or not but he is in a bad condition seeing as he's been abused since he was younger. I don't think
Just because she wants to help others before herself, doesn't mean she's stupid. It seems she hasn't fought anyone yet but lets see if she can fight back.
