So we have a repressed seme. Clearly has always been gay and liked our mc from that fall and kiss. Overbearing homophobe dad has made him hateful. Obviously he's an adult and could choose to be different, his uncle seems nice so doesn't seem all the family he had was his dad... it's very extreme for someone who clearly is gay.
Onto more technical things, the writing is a little convenient... all seems very contrived tbh. Still enjoyable but feels like the author wants to hit certain scenes but doesn't let them happen naturally and people don't act normally. They just end conversations because the author doesn't want more revealed for example. Worth reading but not the most well written in my opinion.
