I realized that Hirano might be ace. It never occurred to me all this time reading it, until today. Which is funny because I'm ace. But when I read romance I don't expect an MC to be ace because that's usually counter to what you're looking for in a romance.

I like the way everything is going. It makes sense. This is literally the only straight romance I'm interested in reading. I have yet to find anything else I like as much as this.

Also, this is fiction, so I don't need to look at the story and characters as I would real people and real relationships. This is entertainment. A guilty pleasure. And everything doesn't have to be unpredictable to be interesting.
