I wondered the same. My guess is it’s cause of the situation with the childhood friend ? A lot of readers were upset at MC for not reciprocating said friend’s feelings. Kinda a love angle situation. I think it’s a fun omegaverse story, not plot heavy, with amazing smut and art. Just a fun read to enjoy :)
