I think hestia isnt merely crashing out coz diana is forgiven. She even mentioned that she is nothing in the novel and it would always revolve around diana. I think its the thought that everything she did to make changes doesnt mean anything coz the story would just flow back from what it was. Its not her reality. Its a novel that would follow what its wrritten.
