okay so here's my two cents but like while jaekyung's backstory most definitely contextualises his actions and his responses to certain situations, it still doesn't justify it. i can empathise and acknowledge that these really shitty things have heavily impacted him in making him who he is but it doesn't shield or excuse him from accountability or responsibility
this isn't to say that he isn't capable of growth but then again you can't always expect top tier character development from toxic fictional men (more so real men) but anyway
