So, after reading the latest chapter (ch42) and then re-reading the 1st chapter I strongly feel like that old person is shinpei( ML) because we all know that the Mc doesn't have long to live and that old person is sitting on the same field with fireflies talked about in ch 42 by shinpei. Furthermore they're reading a letter from the Mc ( I'm assuming that the text is the letter being read). And he said that he wanted to build her a house there so I feel like that's shinpei reading MC's letter and crying and if I am right then that's not good news for my already overworking tear ducts ╥﹏╥
Yeh i went to check as well. And there seems to be a very strong indication of an Adam's apple on the throat. Also it seems like he's reading the letter and the physique itself is rather big, lik Shinpei. I don't think it's a woman. And especially not a sick and small one

All i can say is that this one is not cliche but nowhere near good either. Nobody here have more than two digits IQ. None can listen the other on a conversation like their nation is doomed after discovering tiktok.
