I'm enjoying this a lot! The childcare in this one has actual competent and reliable adults that doesn't need a child's schemes to solve problems! The FL is actually acting like a kid that she is and I LOVE how the authour is establishing her relationship with eveyone and making her have friends first before moving to introducing the love interest. I adore that the story doesn't /only/ exist for the romance.
The callbacks to her fears and insecurities here and there are frequent enough to show that she isn't completely 100% okay while showing how far she has gone in terms of healing. She isn't weak but she's still trying to find the strength she has bit by bit and I adore that.
I love everyone in this story. I'm glad she's spending time with the empress too. Like I can't stress at how much I love that this isn't another story where it lacks a maternal figure for the FL. I'm glad she has women she can depend on too! I hope we can get more scenes with the empress dowager as well!
