Okay this devolved into such wish fulfilment fantasy. And the rich overnight part pisses me off. Like yeah, get rich overnight by inheriting a fortune or discovering some lost treasure Count of Monte Cristo style, but a gold mine? and an untapped one? first, how tf is is untapped when you dig a couple of days and get a couple of buttloads of gold, could've tripped over that shit and figured it out. Second, let's say no one has ever seen how glittery gold the water from that mountain is, developing a mine still takes time my dear, and there's a limit to how much I personally believe you can get on credit. Like... the creditor has to truly believe that goldmine is bottomless to borrow you so much money that you can just go around mansion-shopping. And she's supposed to have grown up poor but be smart, yet she's spending that money like she gonna die tomorrow. I know I know, I'm just being way too expectant of this story, truth is she has a gold mine so now she's hella rich overnight. Great.
I'm actually fine with stupid obsessive ex main lead character being stupid and obsessive, and she deals with him fine, it's the other guy that sucks. Like, he's all "I'm in love with you cause you're so independent and cool" but also he does everything for her and is there to save her from anything. Had she not done the whole love letter trick to the crazy one ro win the trial, I would've said she's quite useless. But she's fine, it's him that's a violent walking cliche.
Anyway this is boring and i bet i can predict the rest if the story. Everyone suddenly simps over her (as they've been doing up to now), duke father of crazy one is the main villain of the story, son kills father but doesn't get full pardon from the story, at some point we'll have author ex machina to talk about how there's a hidden force that makes people act according to novel, she has to decide whether to stay in the story or go home because for some reason this is also an into-novel-transgression story, something gods of novel writing aka author turn out to be extra big bad final boss, everyone helps to win final fight but she deals final blow, then marriage side story, then kids side story. i think former fl gets forgiven. dunno, won't return, it was boring up to this chapter and it got me to not care for the characters.
