So, if you dont pay sometimes an author, the only manga you will read in the future will be AI generated manga, because artist cannot work for free, it’s just not possible. You really really have to support authors. Never ever give money to paradise scan for example. Paradise scan is shit. Manga artists have 0 protection and 0 way to make money other than by being supported by humans. Artists are a grave endangered specy on the verge of extinction, and believe me I know very well what I am talking about.
