Is there some sort of stigma against being born premature in Korea? I'm so confused about why you would make fun of someone for that.
Actually throughout many countries it is considered a bad thing bcs usually when a baby is premature, doctors wld warn stuff like "somewhere is not fully developed (esp the brain)" "will not be so smart" and/or "not normal, might have problems in the future". I also don't get why people think this way but my mum is one of them so I know why lol
Idk either I was bon a month early I was sick alot when I was a kid but now I'm fine I have normal to great grades the only downside is that I'm really short but thats like it
Yep it's a thing especially in Asian countries. Because they consider babies born prematurely to be underdeveloped and that something's bound to be wrong with them in the future e.g. stupid, slow, retard, mostly cognitive issues. They even have this belief that babies delivered 'naturally'( vagina) to be smarter or generally better than those who aren't. Seriously fucked up. just because of a few cases they generalized it.
