I think I might like this trope... You know, where the MC is terrified of the ML the point where it's almost pathological. I just feel like I'm not getting to know who the MC is at all, he's only afraid and that's his whole personality. It just feels very one-dimensional to me as a reader.
I'm hoping we'll see more personality from the MC soon.
