Tbh I expected there to be a plot twist about leana's origin,like how this actually is her second time living in this world or how the novel is some scheme by the gods that influenced the characters' feelings. Idk it felt half-baked, the past of leana, the story kept hinting at something deeper with leana not being able to remember how the og leana was like and how mia started acting uncharacteristically greedy in the beginning(being a victim of cheating herself too). I kept waiting for this big reveal that never came.
What if hyeonjie actually told haebom's father that she was expecting but he just forgot? Their love story is too sad. But I think he made the right decision, however many years she lived, she lived a full life with haebom. Taking care of her partner full time while simultaneously raising a kid would've been so exhausting for her. But maybe they still would've found happiness, after 40 years they'd be grandparents with a youth that just drifted away just trying to stay afloat wiyh a few years of bliss in their old age, Idk, whatever choices they could make,the outcome would be a sad one. Life was too unfair to them.
It's a really well-written story. As much as I wanted annette to experience motherhood, I can see why they made the decision to remain childless. It's pretty realistic, the horrors of war, the complexities of a human mind and the stories of lives which might not have the happy ending we expected but how life goes on regardless.
Nah fam this ain't it,had great characters but it all went to shit.I'd argue that Edmund would be happier away from the power struggles of the empire but his happiness should've been included in the story rather than focusing on "he'll go down the right path" like what do you mean?he's such an angelic kid that even in that environment he always showed kindness. And he deserves a relationship with Carlyle too,why deny the brothers of that?they are still cousins if anything and they clearly share a bond. And the other characters were completely excluded in the conclusion of the story, what about Jeremy?what's he going to do moving forward? Just suffer from an one-sided love? Lizenna in most of the story was a great villainess character with depth, you’ve got to give her credit for raising carlyle the way he was. In the end she turned into an one-dimensional typical villainesses. The story would benefit greatly if they showed her having a multitude of emotions and thoughts rather than turning her into this generic villainess, the story and the situations could have been more nuanced or have multiple dimensions to it. The biggest problem is the title itself. The title itself leads the reader to believe that it'll be about the regrets of the emperor and the empress resisting them vehemently but we get a story which is mostly about solving issues within the political sphere and her accepting his regrets quite easily I'd say.
Absolutely disgusting,criminals should be in jail and lying under an oath in the court makes the mc dude a criminal too. And the wtf happened to Min??he was the only character that was bearable(aside from the grandpas). Nah they should all be in jail,jailtime for all the characters cz they all be criminals. Such a waste of time
