eunoh and isak endgame here’s my thesis;

- there’s a pattern where all the people eunoh has crushes on all don’t wanna date him. case in point 1) women who are so sick of his shit, 2) literally unavailable (uyun and jinhyeong), 3) emotionally unavailable (phat ass phat thigh ta senior) 4) blood related (slurp slurp glasses senior) so according to romance theory his endgame ship has to be someone who he doesn’t have a crush on bc #bl logic

1. author is really fucking good at depicting social anxiety and a REALISTIC setting with realistic and likeable characters. authors are so fucking shit at depicting social anxiety especially korean authors, what with the stigma against mental illnesses, and they act as if it can be cured or you can just “get over it”. how the author depicts social anxiety in one room TA is so visceral and real, and showcases how detrimental it is to someone’s psyche and ability to manage relationships, but at the same time also shows that with healthy emotional support and people who care for you, it’s possible to grow and even live with that anxiety.

2. the way they write jinhyeong is painfully well developed. hes not a hero neither is he a villain, hes written in a way that makes you heavily sympathise with him but you want to slap him sometimes because he makes some really bad emotional decisions, but you still love him anyway. Bro has more character development than ACTUAL real life people and he’s just so me sometimes like he’s so relatable it hurts.

3. author may or may not have a somno fetish (coughs coughs eunoh feeling up uyun in his sleep, seungbeom feeling up jinhyeong in his sleep)

4. author DEFINITELY has a hand and feet fetish (me too, 10/10 want to lick)

i’m on chapter 77 but who is the ml????? at first, i thought it was chan, bc you know, black hair + quiet/serious always wins at the end. then the sussy actor baka came into the picture so i thought hey ok i don’t like him, but he’s handsome and mysterious so maybe HE is the ml. but then there’s this whole thing of daejun damn well knowing sihyeon is hajin and basically flirting with him after years of celibacy and repressed homoeroticism. what????

not much of a spoiler, but just in case ^^

i’ve read most of the novel, but i really love how fleshed out moondae and ahyeon’s relationship is in the manhwa, it’s illustrated so well and you can always tell how much moondae loves ahyeon (sorry im a moondae x ahyeon shipper so i’m analysing this through bl tinted glasses) because in moondae’s pov (and photography) ahyeon is literally fucking glowing like an angel. it’s like how that moondae fan views moondae.

and it’s cute how consistent moondae is when it comes to complimenting ahyeon’s visual, he’s so consistent that he brings up how attractive ahyeon is at least once in every chapter that they’re together lol. to think that moondae wanted to cut ahyeon off in the beginning but found himself getting protective of ahyeon, like the stock liquidation chapter moondae was like “who tf made you guys sad? they’re dead to me” and in a later arc where he deals with ahyeon’s bully personally. so cute, even if he won’t admit it, he loves ahyeon and keunse so much

i have a lot to say about moondae and keunse relationship too but that’s a whole nother story lol. this post is just to appreciate how beautiful ahyeon and moondae’s relationship is. it’s crazy to think that if moondae did not intervene, ahyeon would’ve never flourished and debuted after idol inc. it says a lot how much moondae affected ahyeon’s life and even his self esteem.

the same age line trio dynamic rly makes me cry, like during the sanitary pad scandal neither of them even once thought that moondae was a perpetrator and i love the way the manhwa highlights how close the three of them compared to the rest. they knew how to effectively deal with moondae when he had his crash out and moondae just LISTENS to them without hesitation. it’s so heartwarming seeing how much they care for each other and how well they know each other.
