at the beginning of the story, mc goes on in his monologue about how distasteful it is that society blatantly favours those with higher ranks and that people always kiss up to them (eg. the guy during his onboarding who was kissing up to an a class sentinel), but then a few chapters later he’s complimenting the women in his new workplace but in his thoughts he’s lamenting about their low ranks…as if he hasn’t been d rank his whole life…so hypocritical
