I am so disappointed. Seriously i was so excited to read a murim with a female protagonist but no. They just have to make it generic. First of all the actual action. This has to be a joke. She was poisoned her whole life, then took a bit of medicine and is fine now?? Then magically stumbles upon a ginseng that fucking makes her op?? But actually not because you learn later that she was born op?? Fuck off this shit is absolutely clownery. If its a martial arts manhwa then can she fucking cultivate properly bro. Okay so maybe i can get past that and see if the author went for the romance route. BUT NO. I have such conflicting feelings about the ml. Hes cute but so boring. Its just another, tough to others, shy to only her. Whats with the gap moe?? I would have found it cute if it made some fucking sense bro. Isnt this her relative? Like i know hes actually disguised but SHE didnt know that? So she basically started liking her distant family? And nobody is talking abt this? And also what is with the male lead in general. I dont understand why he came to like her. Literally from panel 1 he was blushing and i dont know how he fell inlove. In guessing they have a backstory but 70 chapters in and it lowkey looks like they dont. Hes also just so cringe. Theres one scene specifically where she asks him why hes so nervous around her. And he blushes and says its because youre so small. If i roll my eyes any further theyll go back inside my head. Can we get out with this cringe shit. Its not even slightly cute its just weird because why r u saying that. Anyways so like maybe if the author didnt go for action or romance, the story has to be good right. NO. ITS NOT GOOD EITHER. The pacing is actually in shambles. And alot of the plotpoints just turn into scenes to pushthr corny romance. The villains basically do nothing in the story. Theyre one done throw aways to show how powerful she is i guess. Like theres no real challenge. She even got poisoned once and she did some cringe shit with the ML. Like ur on ur deathbed. Shouldnt you be writing ur will instead of cuddling. Get it together.
Okay now for the things i do like. Her step mothers character is pretty good. I feel like as a main villain it was done alright. Better than the others. I also liked how she killed herself. Shes very resolute and i could see that when she knew she would be killed, her act fell and her real personality came out. Shes kust another victim and it makes me miss what couldve been their mother daughter relationship. Anyways i also like her cousin (??) Im not even sure. Hes actually going through it. Hes at rock bottom but i wanna see him make the drcision for himself to stop supporting his father. Either way the parts with his sister are weird as fuck. All these stories just have to have incrst. Like i know a demon took over her body but u dont have to make it weird as fuck. Also i just know that whej he eventually turns sides hes gonna fall in love with the mc. Its just unnecessary and not even guy and girl need to like eacjother. Cant he just see her as a normal saviour instesd bro.
This manhwa wasnt even THAT bad to the point of needing all this tbh. It was just average and that makes me mad.
