Also, there's side characters that have kids (that's how the scene came to be). Spoiler: the couple never has kids. Reminds me of the ending scene of Mania where the mc and ml just ends up living domestically with each other.
I'm sure the mc+ml aren't in high school since they are very mature. Perhaps late university or working corporate. The uke also has some sort of childhood trauma.
