You may not like the soap opera side story but for me it was a nice ending. Im glad the author left it open ended and not made them officially get back together. It kinda leaves possibility that they will or they will grt back together but at least they are no longer confined by the chains of their toxic relationship as a married couple. At least they start anew as "friends" probs for the sake of their child
