this is just an attempted hornier retelling of beauty and the beast. it’s the fact that the author proved us that they are, in fact, capable of making an interesting plot (that latest chapter was genuinely interesting, but considering how many times i’ve been let down as i kept on reading, i’m not interested in knowing more about it) but just refuses to by narrowing down everything with sex, sex, sex, sex.
not only that, i do feel that their relationship/dynamic is poorly written. their reconciliation is a huge fucking joke - seriously tho, Cloden slapped the shit out of her and she still tries to mend things? she calls him out on his bullshit behavior and that cunt goes “stop or i’m gonna kiss you ” motherfucker sit down, and after weeks of silent treatment, they just do make-up sex instead of communicating?
on top of that, but i find it hard to enjoy the sex scenes. it’s not sexy, it ain’t hot, it’s just there and it’s useless. i usually won’t come for the art style but i can’t take it anymore, the art is ugly, the ML is the ugliest tho. the manhwa was already too fast paced for me anyways, like literally on the second chapter, she’s already sitting on his lap when they’ve JUST met. i get it, love at first sight, we gang… but then just make a one shot no plot just porn instead of trying to turn this manhwa into an engaging story, because it’s not.
and i always found it uncomfortable how infantilized Ray is, i get that this is how she is given she had no education when she was young (she doesn’t know how to read and write because of her fuckass brother, so she’s really mentally vulnerable at her grown age) and it’s just, not my cup of tea. anyways, fuck this
